Boomers are booming!

Image goes here.

Baby Boomers may be our best resource for volunteerism.  Those of us who have retired have the time, resources and perhaps most important the life experience needed to make our community a better place.  The needs are many and varied, so there is an opportunity for all of us to share our special skills.
Below are some volunteer opportunities we have found. And if you have suggestions for volunteerism for your fellow Baby Boomers, visit our
contact page and let us know about them.  Or e-mail us at Shelby.Boomer@aol.com.

  • Eileen Collins wrote in to let us know that Shelby Development Corporation welcomes volunteers.  She also added that they have a really good time at their events.  She can be reached at eileen.collins@shelbydevcorp.com.  Or call her at 502-633-5029.
  • T.R.A.I.L. (Therapeutic Riding Association, Inc. of Louisville) volunteers are needed to help with horses and special needs children and adults.  The facility is located at 4090 Webb Road in Simpsonville.  Contact Nathalie Green at 502-876-7844.
